The journey into MIL begins outside, where six moments and eight ecosystems converge to fulfill an immersive experience involving people, landscapes, knowledge, history and ingredients.

[01] The archeological ruins of Moray, inspiration for Virgilio Martínez and his team, is the first point to unwind this travel through history. Take in the panoramic view of the circular Inca ruins as our anthropologist presents theories about its role during the Inca empire.

[02] From there, a visit to the Chacra MIL (our farmlands) will bring you closer to the origins of our menu. Feel and taste ingredients that have been around for centuries and to this day are preserved by our neighboring communities of Mullaka’s - Misminay & K’acllaraccay.

[03] The surrounding hills contain a third moment, where a diversity of plants used for food and medicine will take you on a walk on these sceneries. As you recognize plants, local experts share their ancestral knowledge on how they use them to this day.

To fully enjoy your experience in the MIL Immersion, we recommend preparing according to the season:

May to December: Dry Season

01 Layered warm clothing: The mornings in the Andes can be cold, but the midday sun brings warmth. Dress in layers to comfortably adapt to the day.

02 Comfortable shoes: Ideal for safely exploring natural trails.

03 Hat or cap and sunscreen: Even in the Andean winter, solar radiation is intense at this altitude.

JANUARY TO APRIL: Rainy Season

01 Waterproof jacket or poncho: The rains are part of the charm of this season, and being prepared will allow you to enjoy without setbacks.

02 Waterproof shoes: Perfect for walking on trails that may be wet.

03 Hat or cap and sunscreen: Even on cloudy days, sun protection is essential.

ALL YEAR ROUND

01 Reusable water bottle: Stay hydrated to feel comfortable throughout the journey.

02 Camera or smartphone: The landscapes and details of your experience deserve to be remembered.

03 Acclimatization: If you are not used to the altitude, spend at least one day in Cusco or Urubamba to adapt before your visit.
